Applicants must be admitted to UAB as degree-seeking at least one month before the nursing deadline, have a 2.75 overall GPA maintained through the cycle, and a 2.75 pre-nursing foundation GPA with C or better in all foundation courses, complete or in progress at application. Nursing application includes official transcripts, an essay responding to a prompt, a resume, and ACT or SAT only if transferring fewer than 24 credits; the $40 non-refundable fee is the UAB undergraduate application fee. Summer 2027 cohort opens January 11, 2027 and closes February 12, 2027 (Fall 2026 ran April 1 to May 4, 2026); upper division is five semesters full time.
