What you'll need

  • Prerequisite courses

Downstate has no traditional BSN; its pre-licensure option is the Accelerated BS in Nursing, a 15-month full-time program with one fall start per year, open only to applicants holding a baccalaureate degree in any discipline by enrollment (60 nursing credits plus 65 prerequisite credits). Prerequisite list, GPA, exam, fee and deadline are in a linked application-instructions document not readable here; applications go through applyhealthprof.downstate.edu. An online 1-year RN-to-BS is also offered.
