A clear path to ADN

A path gets you ready to apply to ADN programs and helps you submit a strong application. Each program makes its own admission decision.

There's a lot to figure out before applying to nursing school. We'll help you understand the requirements, build your list of schools, and keep track of what you need to do.

How it works

  1. Complete your Pre-Nursing program

Earn your Pre-Nursing credential in 6 to 10 weeks. You can start working in healthcare right away, earn while you prepare, and bring real patient care experience to your ADN application.

  2. Meet the ADN prerequisites

We help you plan and finish what ADN programs ask for, like Anatomy & Physiology I, English Composition I and ATI TEAS.

  3. Apply with your checklist

Each ADN program you pick gets an application checklist in your portal, so you know what is done and what is next. Each program makes its own admission decision.

  4. Start your ADN program

Begin your ADN program with your Pre-Nursing experience behind you. The listed timeframe for this path is 2 to 3 years.

Common questions

Does Pre-Nursing count as college credit?

No. Pre-Nursing gets you ready for your prerequisite courses and the TEAS, but you'll still take the college courses your schools require. We'll show you which ones you can cover with a CLEP exam and which ones need a class.

How long does Pre-Nursing take?

Most students finish in about 6 to 10 weeks. It's about 36 hours of learning, you go at your own pace, and you have six months of access.

What is a Hispanic Serving Institution?

A college where at least a quarter of students are Hispanic. Many offer bilingual support and strong community ties, and this path shows the ADN programs at those schools near you.

Should I choose an ADN or a BSN?

An ADN is usually the faster, more affordable way to become an RN. Many nurses start with an ADN, begin working, and finish a BSN later through an RN to BSN program.

How do I find the right schools?

Choose your state or enter your ZIP code, and we'll show you programs near you with their requirements side by side, so you can pick the ones that fit your goals and apply with confidence.

Is admission guaranteed?

No. Each school makes its own admission decisions. This path helps you meet the requirements and put together a strong application.
