Getting in
What Athens State University asks for, taken from its own admissions page.
What you'll need
- Prerequisite courses
Athens State has no standalone traditional BSN; its pre-licensure route is a Fast-Track/Joint Enrollment BSN with partner community colleges (Calhoun, Northeast Alabama, Drake State, Wallace State) plus an online RN to BSN. Requires 2.5 cumulative GPA and 2.5 GPA in nursing academic core courses (Drake State 2.0 cumulative), ACT composite 18 (Wallace State 20), and separate applications to the community college and to Athens State by the posted deadline. Wallace State windows: March 15 to May 15 for fall, July 1 to October 1 for spring.
Checked Oct 2026 on the school's site. Requirements change each cycle, so confirm before you apply.
